These little thoughts will help you let social media go

Will cut to the chase.

  1. Who really cares about your opinion? Will stating your opinion bring about any real change? Or just a long series of comments and rude exchanges? Focus on bettering yourself and becoming influential enough so that people actually pay attention to your opinions.
  2. Don’t know where I read this fact, but in this world at least 7 people think like you. If someone took an idea you thought about and implemented it, should you keep lamenting or should you think about your next idea and implement it before someone else? And if you do not want to implement it, do not fool yourself by thinking that you could have done it. Rather, equip yourself.
  3. We all love attention. But you need to think about it like this. Spend 6 hours trying to get that perfect pose and picture to get 1K likes and be happy for that day only to wake up and do it the next day again. Or spend those 6 hours everyday into something which would make you an influential person to spend just 6 seconds and have more than 1K likes.
  4. Trolling people on Social Media. We see a post about something positive, hitting the like. Seeing something negative or just a simple grammar mistake, must comment and correct and tell them how wrong they are and how they do not deserve to call themselves an intellectual. Gave you 2 milliseconds of superiority and what else?

These are the 4 thoughts which helped me forget about social media. Also because I served my time on them. (Looking back, this is literally what I think of it now, to be a prisoner of other people’s opinions)

True that commenting on a post could influence other people’s thinking and all sorts of things, these thoughts are only for those who are sick and tired of social media and want to let go but cannot.

Thank you for reading my third blog post. If this helps you let go of even 30 minutes of social media, or make you stop and think before you post just one comment, then my post would have served its purpose. Thanks again. Have a great day/night/weekend/holiday and take care of yourself and the people around you.
